Established in the year 2021, Phi’s Pretty Parlour is a luxurious Lip Blush, Brow tattoo, Eye Lash extension and Facial salon located in the suburb of Durack, Brisbane. Upon completing a Bachelor of Business she decided to embark on her eyelash extension business venture during the Covid lockdowns. For 2 years she worked in her converted bedroom doing eyelash extensions and saved up to expand her space so she could create a larger relaxation space for all her wonderful clients. Later finding her true passion for beauty and how it can help the wellbeing of her clients and its positive impact on the community. She continued investing all her savings into expanding her knowledge and gaining more qualification to allow her clients more exciting relaxation services. She enjoys creating an experience which can help clients feel relaxed, confident, beautiful and empowered everyday. In 2022 she curated lash training courses to help share her knowledge, educate and motivate students wanting to start their small businesses ventures.

Phi’s Pretty Parlour was built from resilience — born during a time when Phi’s health collapsed after years of putting work before wellbeing. Diagnosed with carpal tunnel in both wrists and told she needed surgery, she made a powerful decision: to quit her 3 jobs which were draining her, she heal naturally with self-care and diet, and finally put herself first. What started as a 2-day lash course and a bedroom studio quickly became a bold new path.

Despite the challenges of starting a business from scratch, she showed up every day — driven by the women who trusted her and the belief that beauty is more than skin deep. With a Bachelor of Business and a passion for helping clients can feel and look fabulous, Phi created more than a salon — she built a sanctuary where confidence, peace, and self-worth are prioritised.

Today, Phi’s Pretty Parlour in Durack, Brisbane, offers expert face beauty services and deeply relaxing Japanese head spa treatments. Phi’s mission is clear: to help women feel powerful in their skin, prioritise themselves without guilt, and be reminded they are worthy of rest, beauty, and joy. Phi’s vision is to grow beyond beauty — to build a movement and create impact through future charitable initiatives that support those in need.

Our Mission

Pretty Parlour started in my little converted bedroom—just me, a massage bed, and a vision. I was self-funded, saving every dollar, saying no to nights out, and yes to my dream. I knew deep down I wanted to build something of my own. Something meaningful. Something that would not only help people look good—but feel confident, empowered, and seen.

This wasn’t just about beauty. It was about finding my greater purpose—transforming people through connection, care, and confidence.

At Phi’s Pretty Parlour, we believe beauty isn’t about meeting a standard – it’s about feeling
confident in your own skin and in a space which is inviting. We want to help our clients feel
empowered, amazing and help them prioritise self-care, wellness and beauty, so they can
shine from the inside out.

Motivation

I started from scratch with no outside help—just passion, persistence, and a fire in my belly to create something real. That same drive flows into every treatment and every training session I offer. I kept going, and I’ll keep going.

Inspiration

I built Pretty Parlour from the ground up to be more than just a beauty space. My hope is that each client walks out inspired, and that each student feels the spark to build their own story—just like I did.

This is more than beauty. It’s a journey of growth, self-love, and purpose. And I’m so honoured to share it with you.

Throughout high school, my love for visual arts, tourism studies, and socializing steered me towards pursuing a Bachelor of Business, Tourism, Leisure, and Events Management. However, despite entering the corporate environment after graduation, I felt an undeniable void. Seeking fulfilment, I made a bold decision to leave the 9-5 routine and ventured into hospitality where I worked 2am – 10am shift work while I was starting up my eyelash business. Concurrently, I nurtured a side hustle, inspired by a course recommended by my best friend Michelle. As I pursued my dream, unexpected passion blossomed through creating lash extension sets. This creative endeavor became the catalyst for finding my purpose — empowering clients to feel confident and beautiful. Over three years, I dedicated myself to upskilling and expanding services through rigorous training, recognizing that life lessons are blessings. Now, as my own boss, I continue to grow, eager to share my journey and knowledge to inspire aspiring entrepreneurs.
